Blogs

My life is not interesting. Now that wedding planning is over I really have nothing to say. I am not going to stop blogging- I like hearing myself think. So here are my recent thoughts:

** Why doesn't everyone blog? Jenna, you are home with some adorable and ridiculously funny children. They nap once and a while, your house is always immaculate, so why not blog? Or Cels...we have talked about blogging before. You are at an incredible place in your life - fill us in on the details. Craw, I know you are saving your juicy campaign trail stories for a book, but how about a sneak preview???

** How is it that some people are making money on this blogging nonsence? Do tell.

**I need a new job (see thought number 2).

** I have been married for a month, how crazy is that? Time flies.

Sorry this post is lame. I got nothing, but I will work on it.

I know my first name is Steven

There is a three year old I know, he has a super cool first name, but recently has decided that he wants to be called Boo Bah. I love it. I make it a point to swing by his room at least 5 times during the day just to ask Boo Bah how his day is going. I love it mostly because it reminds me of a time when Little Bird insisted she be called Steven. Remember that? Oh how we tormented that poor child. I think it was approximately three days before she gave up the dream and went back to her birth name. I still chuckle thinking about how much fun that was.

Farwell to a Crab ... and other stuff

Our crab died last week. TC (The Crab..would have been The Hermit Crab, but THC implies we live a much cooler lifestyle than we actually do) was a good crab. We got him when we lived on The Cape. He loved to hang out, he loved to crawl around on the apartment floor. He had the best personality. If you don't believe me you should meet our other crab Paco. TC was never a crab meant to live in the wild. He would stay in his shells long after he had outgrown them. He was innocent. He never knew fear. Long ago, when we first got him, we would play this game. He would run around in is waaaayy to small of a shell and I would pretend my hand was a bird and swoop down and touch him. I tried to explain to him the importance of protection, but he was young and fearless. Ahhh crabs. But it was his time (and by that I mean I have been over having pet hermit crabs for about a year). Poor Paco is greiving, but he'll be fine...

In other news - work has been awful lately. I find myself seeking solice in toddler rooms. Have you ever been in a room of 10 two year olds?...yeah, I consider it peaceful if that tells you anything.

Dave is doing great. Nothing seems to phase him. If calm, cool and collected were an olympic events he would totally medal.

Anyone on Twitter? I can't seem to figure it out. Is it any good? Right now I hate it, but I have been wrong in the past. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Also this DGM entry cracked me up.

Okay- Bye

Seriously?!?

We have an on going problem in the Simple Wedding house. You see when we are just hanging out I am usually on the computer and Dave is usually flipping through the channels on the TV.  TV gets old quick when you only have 20 channels. It bores me. However, that is not the problem. The problem is at least twice a week, when I look up from my computer to see what show Dave has settled on it is : ONE TREE HILL.

One Tree Hill...that is a little like Dawson Creek, right? I mean D. Creek was fine (although I still blame them from the fall of Beverly Hills 90210) ten years ago. I am pretty sure I just married the only human (not to mention male) over the age of 20 who is addicted to this teen drama. Oy!

Success

Well, it is over and done and Dave and I couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. We succeeded in having a simple, yet elegant event with our family and friends. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did. We will post pictures when they are available. Until then we are enjoying a couple of days catching up on sleep and spending time together. Back to work tomorrow. Can't wait until the honeymoon.

Check out our cake!
