My Simple Life?

Ran into an old acquaintance last night. Hadn’t seen him since 1994 and by some bizarre life events we ended up at the same wedding. We weren’t close in high school, but I went to a small school so we definitely knew each other. regardless turns out he has a new son. We chatted a little and I told him we were expecting next year. That apparently opened up a whole can of worms…. his wife had all sorts of advice for me. Seriously, everyone is an expert. Some things I learned from them :

1. Have a water birth ( okay, yuck. I don’t even like swimming in public pools, why would I  swim in my own after birth).

2. Drink Caster Oil in your 39th week. It will induce labor and clean out your system (well yeah, this would be important if you were having an water birth - another reason I vote no for water birth)).

3. If your urine is bright yellow you will have a boy. (apparently this is true, I seem to think that sometimes taking vitamins can produce the same result)

So while I am thankful for any tidbits people have to offer, I think it is safe to say when you don’t see someone for roughly 15 years it may be best to stick with the basic “Hey, good to see you. How ya been? Great” conversation.
