My Simple Life?

What kind of question is that? Nervous about what? I don’t even know how to answer when people ask. What is there to be nervous about? Am I nervous that the whole day will go off without a hitch? Not really. I am sure everything won’t run as smoothly as it does in my head, especially because I often forget to tell people how I want it to go. But no one will notice but me and maybe Dave. Am I nervous about everyone having a good time. Nope, don’t really care. You will have fun if you want to and if you don’t you won’t. It is that simple. So I don’t know why I should be nervous. Just for fun, let me ask Dave…( he is playing a video game so this should be interesting)

Me: You nervous yet?
D: About what?
Me:About the wedding?
D:No should I be? Am I suppose to be? Nervous about what? The fact that I have to spend the rest of my life with you, no never. I am nervous that there a lot of dead guys in this game I am playing. That makes me nervous.

A long time ago, in a land far, far away Dave and I worked for this cult…er, I mean company. It was amazing. We lived, worked and breathed hiking, environmental education and hands on learning. There was a kind of comfort in a job that has 200 employees that are doing the exact same thing everyday and knowing your boss thinks all his staff is completely interchangable and replacable. Unfortunatley it was a 14 hour a day job in which we lived with our co-workers It all gets to be too much eventually, we needed to move on. However in that whole process we met some amazing people, had some amazing experences and have a constatnt feeling that when all else fails we have a “home” to go back to. In that process we met Reesh. I am not sure, at this point, if we even ever worked for the company at the same time, but at some point our lives crossed paths. She started a blog, I added her to my blog roll. Check her out. Her life is pretty crazy…I certainly don’t envy her situation.

I am cranky. I can’t help it. You are better off just not talking to me or asking me anything until after the wedding. I have no idea why I am so unpleasant. I just am. This apparently is just a very emotional time for me.

On top of that I have the beginnings of either a bad head cold or a sinus infection and work sucks. Oh but that is not all… Gotta love a recession and telling people with families that I need to cut thier hours. Not my fault the company is millions of dollars in the red, hell it is not even the fault of our department… everyone is taking a hit though.

The bottom line is don’t even bother with me for the next few weeks. Everything you say will probably upset me. It is not your fault. It’s me. Just be thankful YOU are not the one living with me.

Nobody knows where ring bearer pillows go to die. Certainly the frilly pillows are not keepsakes for most boys nor are they treasured items for most brides. It is baffling that no one knows what happend to the pillows after a wedding. With that in mind I picked up a pillow yesterday…at the dollar store. As soon as I got home it fell apart. That saved me the trouble of having to figure out how to disassemble it. I added some personal touched and reassembled. I am psyched with it. It will be the prettiest pillow in the landfill for sure.
