The Honeymooners

So we have to face facts… we can not really afford to honeymoon in Europe. It was a nice idea, but really…

Now we are looking at domestic destinations. Don’t feel bad for us or anything. I have always dreamed of visiting all 50 states. And since I have only been to 15 (That is awful! I have lived in 6 of those states.)so far, a honeymoon within the confines of the US will be fun.

We know people who went to Vegas. Some of my friends have done the Disney thing or other Florida destinations. A couple people we know honeymooned in Maine. I have been to Maine and Florida and neither Dave nor I are very intrigued by Vegas. We are open to suggestions.

We are thinking New Orleans. The only problem is finding a hotel. We are getting married the weekend after Mardi Gras. We just can’t think of any place we would like to visit more than New Orleans and we may get in a day or two with Habitat for Humanity, so that alone would be worth it. We’ll see. If you can think of something better, let us know.
