Baffling
Why would you call your hotel Lake View if you do not in fact have a view of a lake?
Needless to say we saw two reception sites today and they both were affordable and horrible. One only offers tent receptions, which is fine if you could guarantee me a warm May day (currently it is 57 degrees outside). And while she was showing us where on the grounds we could get married a noisy truck drove right behind the wedding site. So we left there a little defeated and head for the Lake View . Aside from the fact that there was no breathe taking vista there were also no windows in the banquet room. It was a generic banquet room and a generic hotel. Nothing about the place appealed to either of us AND the wedding planner seemed thrown when I said there would be no head table.
We did drive by the two places we are meeting with in a couple of weeks. I am sure those meetings will go better and I fully anticipate loving both of them immensely. Meanwhile my less optimistic fiancé has spent the hours since our return emailing reception sites. I am glad he cares, I can’t imagine doing this without him
